MASTER DEGREES

M.S. in Human Services

Post University's Master of Science in Human Services is designed to meet the educational needs of individuals who are employed or seek employment in a wide variety of human service positions. The program allows these prospective students to acquire the conceptual, analytical, and operational knowledge to assume new or more advanced positions in the field of human services. The curricular content is focused around an essential core of learning experiences and skill sets and provides two specializations in either human service program administration or clinical counseling within organizational settings.

Masters of Business Administration (MBA)

The Bachelor of Science in Accounting Degree provides focused preparation for a successful career in accounting.

B.S. in Business Administration

The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Degree is for students who seek a broad business education with the flexibility of choosing the career opportunities they will pursue in the business world. Business Administration graduates develop a broad set of skills and understanding of how businesses are organized and managed.

The Post University Business Administration Degree has been structured to provide you with an understanding of business: the ways in which data are gathered, organized, reported, marketed, and analyzed; and the key areas in which plans are developed, strategies devised, plans implemented, and decisions are made. The Post University Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Finance program integrates courses that provide students with a thorough knowledge of financial concepts and help them master a sophisticated set of financial decision-making skills.

The Post University Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Management program provides a general and comprehensive background in management with the traditional emphasis on the development of the behavioral skills necessary to succeed in public and private, profit and non-profit organizations.

The Post University Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Marketing program provides you with a thorough knowledge of marketing concepts and helps you develop a comprehensive understanding of strategic and tactical marketing strategies.

This program will prepare you for exciting careers in marketing for which the essential ingredient is the ability to identify and satisfy consumer needs. You will become familiar with the specialized skills of selling, advertising, retailing and market research. Courses will provide you with an understanding of current marketing theory and practices with special attention to the "Four P's" of the marketing mix: Product, Place, Promotion and Price.

While many graduates begin their careers in sales or management at the retail level or as outside sales representatives in industrial sales, the marketing program will also prepare you for positions in product planning, marketing research, distribution, advertising, sales promotion, packaging, customer/public relations and direct marketing.

Marketing majors with prior business experience learn how to develop effective business strategies and make decisions regarding product or service distribution.

B.S. in Criminal Justice

Paralegal Career

Paralegals are found in all types of organizations, but most are employed by law firms, corporate legal departments, and various government offices. Jobs in this field are expected to among the fastest growing careers according to the US Department of Labor.

Paralegals assist attorneys by obtaining facts and doing research for legal cases. Paralegals perform legal research, prepare briefs of researched cases, compose letters to clients and general correspondence, draft legal documents, interview clients and digest depositions, provide general supervision of the law library in the office, gather information for client files, and assist attorneys in trial preparation.

Law School

You may enter law school with any bachelor's degree. The bachelor's degree in Legal Studies from Post University offers a thorough grounding in honest decision-making as it explores the relationship of the legal system to business, government and society. A.S. in Legal Studies

The Associate of Science in Legal Studies Degree at Post University prepares students to work as a member of a professional team delivering legal services. Students become familiar with the American legal system, including federal and state courts, statutes, codes and treaties as well as with legal theory and its practical applications in various disciplines, including legal research, civil litigation, real estate and estates.

The emphasis is on learning by doing.

Paralegal programs consist of a two-year associate's degree, four-year bachelor's degree or a certificate, and include general courses on the law and legal research techniques; courses covering specialized areas of the law such as real estate, estate planning and probate, litigation, family law, contracts and criminal law, as well as courses introducing students to the legal applications of computers. Many employers prefer applicants with specialized training. Students can also do internships in which they gain practical experience by working for several months in a law office, corporate legal department or government agency. This experience is an asset when seeking a job after graduation.

Students learn to handle legal problems logically and communicate, both orally and in writing, their findings and opinions to their supervising attorney. Paralegals must understand legal terminology and have good research and investigative skills. A.S. in Management

The Associate of Science in Management degree provides a foundation in business management in a supportive environment. Legal Nurse Consulting

The Legal Nurse Consulting certificate program is designed for experienced registered nurses who are interested in combining their clinical experience with specialized legal knowledge enabling them to serve as liaisons between the legal and health care fields. The program will provide the legal knowledge required to evaluate, analyze, and offer informed opinions on the delivery of health care and resulting outcomes.
